Air Quality Index in GCC Countries
The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a simple and easy way for presenting to the public the status of air quality around the air quality monitoring stations in the GCC. The purpose of AQI is to help you understand what local air quality means to your health. The AQI tells you how clean or un healthy your air is, and what associated health effects might be a concern. The AQI is like a scale that measures from 0 to 500. A value of 100 corresponds to the Ambient Air Quality Standard (1xS) for the pollutants(SO2,NO2,O3,Co and PM10),which is the level the GCC has set to protect health in the GCC countries
